The Challenge
One product, multiple units of measure
Why formwork & scaffolding manufacturing breaks conventional ERP logic
A single product moves through three different units of measure across its
commercial lifecycle and none of them, alone, describes its physical dimensions.

Quotation
Quotations are priced on surface area / coverage.

Dispatch
Goods leave the plant counted physically, per piece.

Invoice
Commercial billing is raised on weight, per GST norms.
Same unit, different dimensions
The same sq. ft., kg, or piece count can correspond to entirely different length x width x gauge variants and inventory must be matched and deducted against the exact dimensional SKU, not just a flat conversion factor.
Formula-driven, dimension-scaled BOM
Fasteners (nuts, bolts, clamps) repeat at fixed intervals to keep structures uniform at any height. The bill of material must scale with dimensions, not sit as a static parts list.
Where Generic Systems Fall Short
| Requirement | Accounting Tools | Standard ERP (single-UoM) |
What Standard Belex Needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quotation | Manual, formula-less | Simple per-kg or per-piece rate | Formula-based: sq. ft. cost → converted to kg / piece |
| Unit conversion | Not supported | One UoM per transaction | Cost, dispatch & invoice each in a different UoM, linked |
| Inventory match | Not tracked | Quantity only | Dimension-wise stock (length × width × gauge) deduction |
| BOM | N/A | Fixed parts list | Formula-driven BOM that scales with height/length and/or fasteners |
Why Standard Belex Needed More Than a Generic ERP
Every challenge shown above is connected.
Formula-based quotations, multiple units of measurement, dimension-wise inventory, and scalable BOMs cannot operate as isolated functions.
They must work together in one continuous workflow, from quotation to dispatch to invoicing.
Standard Belex needed an ERP that could adapt to these interconnected processes rather than force them into standard ERP workflows.
That’s where SourcePro New Horizon ERP came in.
The SourcePro Solution
Formula-based CRM, dimension-wise inventory
New Horizon ERP’s CRM and Stores modules were customized end-to-end to carry the sq. ft. → piece → kg logic through every transaction stage.

Quotation Entry
Complex and formula-based costing configured per sq. ft., and customizable to costing rules.

Sales Order Booking
Order confirmed against the same formula logic used at quotation stage.

Delivery Challan
Dispatch recorded by physical piece count, matched to exact dimensional inventory.

Sales Invoice
Commercial billing generated in kg per GST norms, reconciled back to the original quote.
Stores Module | Dimension-Wise Inventory
Stock is tracked by quantity + dimensions + specifications, so any sq. ft., kg, or piece transaction is automatically matched to the correct physical variant and deducted directly from inventory on sale and eliminating manual reconciliation.
Operational Impact

One connected system

BOM that scales itself

Inventory that matches reality
